WORLD VISION

Al is also an independent artist for World Vision

As World Vision artists, our goal is to use our talents in

FUND RAISING CONCERTS or EVENTS, which:

Connect compassionate individuals with WORLD VISION

 for child sponsorship

WORLD VISION is an INTERNATIONAL RELIEF ORGANIZATION.

Being one of the largest and most respected, they are at work in near 100 countries,

working in entire communities, to tackle the ROOT CAUSES of POVERTY

Please visit their site at www.worldvision.org.

85 cents of every dollar goes toward relief. This makes all of us independent artists proud to be associated with such a fiscally responsible organization. World Vision has a profound impact in the world's most needy places.

Besides using music as an AWARENESS-raising tool, I also sponsor a World Vision child.

JOIN ME in sponsorship!

With sponsorship (at only 30 per month), you'll get to pick a needy child by country and gender of your choice. You'll receive a picture, along with some information about their circumstances and family. You will also have an opportunity to correspond with your child.

WHY DID I TAKE ADVANTAGE of the World Vision opportunity?

Having experienced a visit to a third world country, plus having seen examples of the efficient, well organized work World Vision is involved with in so many needy communities around the world, compelled me to become a sponsor.

Let's face it, no matter what level of income or standard of living, it's pretty safe to say that most anyone living here in North America is abundantly blessed, if nothing else but by the AVAILABLE opportunities, whether taken advantage of, or squandered. We have MASSIVE  food, clothes, housing, healthcare, energy sources, transportation and the list goes on.

I believe that if EACH and every one of us, who DOES HAVE the resource to FEED EVEN JUST ONE needy person, from anywhere on this planet-ones who can not feed themselves-we'll INSTANTLY transform this world into a better place to live. With World Vision's system, you'll actually be affecting a minimum of 5 people, when sponsoring ONE child.

Al's BIO:

Highlights include a 5 year tour with a 14 voice Black-Gospel vocal ensemble. Among his many recordings, the most recent is a live (contemporaty) worship CD, produced by, and available through his home church.

Other projects include: Seasonal Engagements for the "Holiday take flight" series at the PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, as well ONE-MAN-BAND concerts at "ZOO-LIGHTS" (Portland Zoo).

Al also played several times at the Clark county fair stages.  Other great playing opportunities for Al include being the opener for logal jazz great Tom Grant, for his band reunion, of the lineup he had in the 80's.

Al has been involved in numerous back-up-band efforts, for various regional and national Christian artists. Al has been a part of several regional groups as well.  He has participated as fill-in "guest artist" at numerous area churches and currently is involved in the Worship team at Summit View Church in Vancouver, Washington, as well as a semi-permanent guest player at "The House" church (also Vancouver).

He is a private (drum-set/percussion) instructor and has developed many young drummers, who have progressed so as to become key team players at various local churches and other venues.

Al loves playing his futuristic looking Zendrum, (that's just wht they named it, but has nothing to do with Zen). Of course he enjoys playing a traditional, ACOUSTIC drum set as much.  As a heavy hobby, he restores old drum sets and collects / trades vintage drums, cymbals and unique drum gear.
